Power unit accessories cover everything that bolts onto, plugs into, or replaces a component within an existing power unit. Most operators don't need to replace the whole power unit when something fails — they need a specific accessory or function added or swapped. This page is where those parts live.

Common requests: longer pendant cables (when the standard 15-foot pendant won't reach the operator station), valve add-ons (when an existing power unit needs a second cylinder function), control-board upgrades (when an old relay-logic compactor needs PLC controls), and specialty fittings or hoses.

Identify the function or accessory by the existing power unit make/model and the specific component you're replacing or adding. PRT customer service can confirm compatibility before you order.

If you're not sure whether your existing power unit can be upgraded with a specific accessory, send PRT the power unit's data plate info and a description of what you want to do. We'll confirm whether it's a bolt-on accessory, a controls-modification job, or a full power unit replacement.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add a second cylinder function to my existing power unit?

If your power unit has spare valve manifold capacity. PRT supplies the additional control valve, electrical hookup, and the pendant button for the new function. If the power unit is at capacity, you'd need a larger unit.

How do I replace just the pump or motor on a power unit?

Pump and motor replacements are bolt-off, bolt-on field operations on most power units. Specify the original pump/motor part number when ordering — PRT can cross OEM dimensions and electrical specs.

Are PRT power unit accessories compatible with non-PRT power units?

Most are. Hydraulic fittings, hoses, valves, and pendants use industry-standard connections. Mounting brackets and electrical hookups are brand-specific — provide your power unit make and model to confirm compatibility.

What's the longest pendant cable available?

Standard PRT pendant cables go up to 50 feet.
